Love Steel Guitar? Host your own show on SteelRadio!
Share your area of expertise in the diverse world of Steel Guitar, Dobro and Slide Guitar. We are looking for hosts with the passion, the knowledge, the music library and the access to production capability to produce shows and content for SteelRadio. Broadcasting experience is preferred, but not required. Programs can be weekly, monthly or an occasional contribution. There can also be a collective of hosts for any show.
All genres are welcome (Hawaiian, country, bluegrass, jazz, blues, rock, gospel, sacred steel, conjunto, tejano, world music, experimental, ambient, etc.) as long as the music features steel guitar, dobro and/or slide guitar. In addition to all music, programs can be a mix of music and talk. For example, explore the history of steel guitar or a particular artist, interview steel guitar, dobro or slide guitar players, or host a show that features how-tos, tips and technique. We are open to your ideas and creative input!
Have a concept for a show? Send it to us for consideration! We want the station to represent the entire steel and slide guitar community, and beyond. We also want to present shows covering the diversity of steel guitar music today as well as give listeners the opportunity to enjoy, and celebrate, the classics. Attention Musicians and Bands
Would you like your music played on SteelRadio? Instrumental, vocal and band albums are welcome as long as steel guitar, dobro and/or slide guitar are prominent in the production.
